Museums: Cultural and Natural Heritage

2021-05-09

Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) CineMuseSpace: A Cinematic Musée Imaginaire of Spatial Cultural Differences was led by François Penz, School of Architecture, University of Cambridge, Suzanne MacLeod, School of Museum Studies, University of Leicester, and Andong Lu, Nanjing University.

As part of the project Professor Suzanne MacLeod worked with the residents of Port Sunlight, Port Sunlight Village Trust, National Museums Liverpool and filmmaker Mark Thomas from Soup Collective to explore life in a heritage village through the making together of a film, a process which generated new forms of understanding for residents and local organisations alike, particularly in relation to the emotional lives of residents.
